This article outlines the functionality of the CMS and how it is integrated with the core ACU Sport:80 Platform, plus where best to find certain information and where to perform certain tasks.
It will be added to over time based on the FAQs received and the features that are enhanced.
Introduction
The CMS is a simple-to-use solution for Clubs of National Governing Bodies, offered by the ACU to its Clubs, Promoters and Regional Centres to perform key processes:
- Host a website specific to that club for news, contact information and social media links
- Take payments for Memberships directly to the Club Bank Account
- Create local (non-Permit) events for registration
This solution is integrated into the 'Core' Sport:80 Platform in a number of ways:
- Single Sign-On (SSO) between the two solutions meaning only one set of User credentials and automatic login from one to the other
- Recognition of the need for Clubs (and other Organisational Bodies) to be 'current' with their ACU Affiliation to use the CMS
- The ability to create new Members in the CMS which are also created in the Core Platform
- Membership purchases in the CMS granting those Members the 'Club Membership' in the Core Platform that is needed to hold ACU Competitor Licences

How does the Stripe Integration work?
As the CMS has the potential to be a stand-alone solution, a Stripe Account needs to be set up here irrespective of whether one has also been set up by a Club to take Event Entries through the Core Platform. This is because using one will not always mean using the other.
What information can I see on Stripe transactions?
Stripe Accounts built into the Sport:80 environment are 'Express Connect'. These are very simple to setup and use.
Work is being done on the CMS to enhance the Financial Reporting capabilities and those enhancements will be documented here and communicated by the ACU.
Note: Some of the very earliest adopters of the CMS will have 'Standard Connect' accounts - these will be migrated to be Express Connect accounts in time.
Where can I find my Members List?
The most comprehensive Members List can be found in the Core Platform, within your Club Account, under Members > List. This will pull through any Member with your Club listed against their Club Membership record, whether they paid on the CMS or went through the manual approval process.
In the initial configuration of the ACU's Sport:80 Platform, it is allowed for a Member to change the Club(s) on their Club Membership record at any time, to allow them to determine individually who has access to their data.
The key driver for the initial configuration of the Club Membership records, similar to the use of codes in the previous system, is to ensure a Licence-Holder is a paid-up Member of a Club. Whether they opt to change Clubs halfway through the year does not impact that they will have to have paid a Club Membership to make their Licence valid in the first place.
Note: Based on early feedback, it is being reviewed whether the Club(s) on an Individual's Club Membership should be 'locked down' from the point of submission to the point of being due for renewal the following year.
What is the 'Affiliations' section?
The Affiliations tool (incorporating 'Blocks') is disabled due to there being a more robust process in place for ensuring that only Clubs selected by the Individual Member have access to their data, and that the Club either receives payment through the CMS, or manually approves a Club Membership.
What details are collected from a Member in the CMS?
Again, this is designed to be very simple and to only capture the data needed to match the Member with a Profile in the Core Platform, so that their Club Membership record can be assigned to them to make them eligible for Licences.
Customisation of the Membership Form in the CMS is not currently possible, though as with anything in a User-driven system, this could be a future module enhancement based on feedback.
Clubs have extensive reporting capabilities in the Core Platform for data collected against any Individual who appears in their Members List using the 'Advanced Filters'.
Note: Sport:80 are aware that the Advanced Filters are, while very powerful, quite complex and time-consuming to use. In early-2023 a far simplified 'Saved Views' concept will be launched, whereby the NGB will create a view ONCE, and roll it out to all relevant Organisation types.
What are 'Prospects' among Members in the CMS?
These are Members who have navigated to your Club's Website, identifiable from the Single Sign-On used between the Sport:80 Core Platform and the CMS.
