Limitations
This report will provide a row for each instance that is recorded in the database based on the date range provided. Where individuals/ organizations have 'changed' add on type throughout the period of the date range, multiple lines will appear.
What does this mean?
Essentially, if an individual changes from a recreational member to a full member half way through the date range specified, they will be recorded on two separate lines. If you're then going to analyse the data based on 'gender', 'ethnicity' or one of the other fields, you will need to de-duplicate the data (based on the add on the membership number).
Note: This will be the same for individuals that move from junior memberships to full memberships, memberships that are 'upgraded' on to new types and add on's that are renewed onto different types during the period selected.
Why does the report show duplicate line items?
There may be instances where NGBs need to report on the number of a particular add on through out a set period. For example, you may want to be able to analyse the data and report that between a 12 month period X number of people held a 'Level 1' qualification, and 'Y' held a 'Level 2' qualification.
We have opted to keep all of this information in this report to ensure that you can utilise third party software (i.e. Microsoft Excel) to interrogate the data further.
Is any data excluded?
Currently, day memberships are not included in this report.
