Event sanctioning allows organisations to efficiently create, manage and oversee events within the Platform. A sanction refers to the process of creating an event, and this terminology can vary depending on your organisation. Some alternative examples are event permit or event license.
The format of events may vary based on the organisation. The most common forms include competitions, courses and programmes.
To sanction an event, please refer to the following steps:
- Log in to the Platform and switch into your organisation profile
- Click 'Sanctioning' on the left-hand menu (Please note: the terminology may differ for your organisation)
- Select the type of event that you'd like to sanction (Please note: if entries are being taken on the Platform, a Stripe account must be created before sanctioning an event)
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
- Complete the form and ensure you complete all mandatory fields, they will be indicated with a red asterisk (*)
- Click 'Add to Basket' or 'Submit'
- If directed to, complete billing details and select 'Checkout', select payment method, complete card details and select 'Pay'
- Once the payment is processed or the sanction has been submitted, a confirmation email will be sent and the request will need to be reviewed and approved by the organisation before entries are accepted before the event is made active
- After approval, an email with the event information will be sent and confirmed with the organiser
- You can manage your event at any time by navigating to the 'Events Admin' Panel
