Sport:80 offers standard, "off-the-shelf" Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities that can be used by third-party suppliers of NGBs.
The reasons and benefits of this include:
- A simplified User Journey between Sport:80 and another site
- Fewer log-in credentials to remember / store securely
- Laying foundations for API integrations to exchange data between Sport:80 and another site
While a project involving an API integration would fall under 'Custom Development' work that requires scoping and quoting, access to the SSO Documentation is readily available to suppliers of our NGB partners at no additional charge.
Further, once the work has been done by the third-party supplier to set up the SSO at their end, and they provide their Metadata to Sport:80, we will add those details to ensure things also work smoothly at our end. Again, at no cost.
Development Support
Where the third-party supplier requires additional help and support from the Sport:80 Development Team to configure Single Sign-On, this will chargeable to the NGB client at the contracted rate for Development work, based on the number of hours required (each hour being 1/8th of the daily rate).
This ensures that:
- Support requests are focussed and targeted
- Sport:80 Development time is not tied up unnecessarily
- Client-Partners only pay for the time needed by their third-party supplier
- Sport:80 can offer a transparent and consistent process for how such support requests are handled
- Wider Platform Development and client commitments are not negatively impacted by responding to ad hoc requests that cannot be planned
Process Specifics
- Requests to be made through Zendesk with ALL relevant parties in CC
- Sport:80 MPC (Main Point of Contact) to act as conduit between the two Development Teams
- A Jira task created and time spent logged against this task
- Support costs incurred added to the next monthly invoice to the NGB
