The Club Membership feature gives clubs the tools and autonomy to manage their own membership sales directly through the Platform. This functionality allows clubs to create, sell, and manage memberships independently, giving them greater control over their community and finances.
Club Super Admins and Admins (as well as any additional designated roles) can easily set up and manage their club memberships. These memberships are separate from the client membership, and all funds* collected will go directly into the club’s Stripe account (which the club will need to set up).
*Unless a levy has been requested by the client
How Club Memberships Work
Once a club has set up their Stripe account and created its membership, it will have access to a dedicated Membership Admin Panel, where memberships can be added, edited, or discontinued as needed.

After setup, the club will receive a unique registration link that can be shared across their website, social media, or newsletters.
- If users already have a Sport:80 profile, their membership purchase will automatically link to their existing account.
- New users will be guided through a quick account creation process before completing their membership purchase.
Clubs can further personalise their membership page by adding a description, uploading their logo, and updating other key details to align with their branding.

Reporting and Insights
Both clubs and the client can benefit from robust reporting tools, including the Smart List.
- Clubs can generate reports and views on their own members, tracking active and expired memberships.
- The client can view data across all clubs to support insights such as identifying users who hold a club membership but not a client membership.
Additionally, the system includes functionality to prompt users to purchase their client membership following the purchase of a club membership, helping to drive greater engagement across both levels.
Club Membership Setup
The club membership creation form is simple and intuitive. Clubs can define standard membership details, while the Sport:80 team can enable advanced configuration options for even greater flexibility.
Configurable options include:
- Renewal periods (years, months, weeks, or days)
- Fixed expiry date (override renewal cycle)
- Gender requirements
- Minimum and maximum age settings (with age on day/month/year options)
- Payment types (one-off or direct debit/auto-renewal)
- Renewal reminders
- Upgrade options
- Discontinuation controls

Levy Configuration (Optional)
To support additional revenue generation, the client can choose to apply a levy to each club membership transaction.
This can be set as either a fixed amount or a percentage, and funds are automatically split at the point of payment.
Levy configuration options include:
- Levy amount or percentage
- Levy Stripe merchant details
- Pass-on fee settings and caps
- Account and class codes
- Option to hide fixed pass-on fees
This provides the client with a simple and transparent way to benefit financially while empowering clubs to manage their own memberships.
Club Membership Fees
There are no additional setup costs for the client to enable the Club Membership functionality.
However, clubs using this tool will be charged a fee at the agreed contracted rate and the Standard Stripe processing fees (as currently incurred by the client).
If you’d like to discuss these rates in more detail, please reach out to your main point of contact
