There are two places to set dependencies within event admin panels. Please read this article carefully as some of these options are available to NGB admins but are not necessarily options for event organizers.
Overall Event Dependencies
These dependencies are set by navigating to the following:
-
Login - and switch into the account that has access to the event
-
Click ‘Events Admin’
-
Select the required admin panel
- Click on 'Entry Options' (this may have a slightly different name depending on your event setup)
-
Click ‘Dependencies’
-
Select the dependency in the drop-down menu and click ‘+ Add ‘AND’ Condition’
-
Click ‘Update’
A useful dependency to add in this section is 'individual membership'. This will restrict entries to everyone, no matter which category they are entering.
Note: Only NGB's can control overall event dependencies.
Category Dependencies
As some categories require specific add ons in order to permit entry, there is also the option to add dependencies on specific entry options. Category dependencies can only be set if the event is configured to allow them to be set.
To activate category dependencies
-
Login - and switch into the account that has access to the event
-
Click ‘Events Admin’
-
Select the required admin panel
- Click on 'Entry Options' (this may have a slightly different name depending on your event setup)
- Click on 'Entry Stage Options'
-
Click ‘Dependency Options’
-
Select the add ons that you want the organizer to be able to select from
-
Click ‘Save’
Note: Only NGB's can decide which dependencies can be activated for addition.

This tool is particularly useful for instances where certain entry options may only be open to athletes with a 'Black Belt'. Setting a dependency here would allow the user to get on to the entry form, but would block this option being selected unless they had the relevant 'Black Belt' attached to their profile.
Note: Where dependencies are included at an Entry Option level within default configuration, they also need to be selected as 'Dependency Options' at an Entry Stage level for them to be visible to the Event Admin. Amending this default configuration is something only Sport:80 can do, please contact support if you require assistance with this.
What are 'and' and 'or' conditions?
‘+ Add ‘AND’ Condition’ - This means the individual must have this requirement ‘AND’ this requirement, for example an entrant must have an individual membership ‘AND’ a Level 1 certification.
‘+ Add ‘OR’ Condition’ - This means the individual must have at least one of these requirements in order to enter, for example an entrant must have an individual membership ‘OR’ a temporary membership.
