Discount codes can be used on any events that are set up to collect entry fees online through the Platform. The codes are specific to each event and can only be applied at the point of sale for the event that the code has been created for.
How to create a ‘Discount Code’:
Login (make sure you switch into the account that has access to the event)
Click ‘Event Admin’
Locate your event and click the settings button to access the admin panel of the event
Click ‘Discount Codes’
Click ‘Add Discount Code’
Create a discount code - all codes must be at least six characters long with no spaces
Complete the form to create your discount
What do the fields on the form mean?
This is only visible for administrators as a more readable way of identifying specific discount codes.
- Select 'Yes' to make the discount code active and available for entrants to use
- Select 'No' to make the discount code inactive
- Percentage Discount: The percentage of discount you would like to apply
- Fixed Amount Discount: The amount you would like to discount
Note: You are only able to use one type of discount amount.
This is the total number of times the discount code can be used. This number is the total times it can be used across all uses.
Limit Per User
The number of times the discount code can be used by per user/ organization. If you only want a user to use this code once, then a '1' should be added here. In the instance where the user is processing multiple entries, this code will only be eligible to be used for a discount based on the number added here.
Limit Per Athlete
The number of times the discount code can be used per athlete.
Limit Per Entry
The number of times the discount code can be used per entry. This should be used where there are multiple entry categories for an event to restrict how many categories a discount should be applied to.
The date and time you would like the discount to start.
The date and time you would like the discount to expire.
