Should I use SMS or an authenticator app for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Both methods of authentication have advantages and disadvantages, however, we do recommend using a trusted 2FA application as they are more reliable. Authenticator apps also do not rely on networks so receiving the verification code is often quicker.
