Stripe accounts can become restricted as a result of Stripe requiring additional or updated verification information. This can prevent the Stripe account taking payments and therefore stop entrants registering for events.
To resolve the event taking entries and/ or payments, the Stripe account holder will need to log in to Stripe and provide the require documentation.
Stripe Account Statuses
Restricted means the account has payouts or payments disabled. Additional information usually needs to be collected to enable these accounts. Within Stripe, the account holder will be notified of what information is required to enable the account.
Restricted soon means the account has a due date for providing additional information. Within Stripe, the account holder will be able to identify the information required and deadline for providing the information.
Pending means the account is being reviewed or verified by Stripe. This occurs when Stripe is verifying the information that was provided, such as an ID document upload. In addition, pending status can also occur when Stripe is performing a watchlist check against a list of prohibited individuals and businesses or Stripe is reviewing the account for suspected fraudulent activity.
Payouts can be enabled or disabled for accounts with a pending status and requires no action on your part. Stripe automatically updates the account’s status when the review finishes.
For further information on account status, please see Managing Stripe Accounts, however some information may vary depending on the account type set up as part of the Sport:80 integration.
