How can I take one of the optional SafeSport courses?

The following optional courses are available through the Platform:

• SafeSport for Kids (5-12 year olds)
• SafeSport For Young Athletes (13-18 year olds)
• Creating Safe and Inclusive Environments for Athletes with Disabilities (18+)
• Mandatory Reporting: Understanding Your Responsibility (18+)
• SafeSport for Volunteers (18+)

How do I take the additional optional courses?

The courses are available from the 'Center for SafeSport Training' section within a users profile.

Before the trainings are available - the user needs to link their account to the SafeSport platform by clicking on the 'Access Training' button. This button will only appear for profiles where the user is over the age of 5 years old.

The optional courses can be taken in addition to the Core training for all those over the age of 17.

How long do the trainings last?

All of the optional trainings do not have an expiry date. Thus meaning that each course can only be taken once.

Note: These trainings do NOT replace the Core trainings.
