If you have an Auto Renewal set up and need to change the payment card, this guide will walk you through the process step by step.
Due to security reasons, payment methods on auto renewals cannot be edited directly. To use a new card, you must first cancel your existing auto renewal, then set it up again using your updated card details.
Why do I need to cancel and restart my auto renewal?
Sport:80 does not store card details for auto renewals. This is to ensure your payment information remains secure, as a result of this:
- You cannot view or edit the card currently linked to an auto renewal.
- If you are unsure which card was used, or if your card is expiring soon, the safest option is to cancel the auto renewal and restart it with a known, in‑date card.
How to cancel and restart your auto renewal
- Login into your account
- Click 'View' next to the individual
- Locate the Add On for example 'Individual Membership' and click the action button (three dots)
- Click 'Cancel Auto Renewal'
- Read the pop-up and click 'Ok' to cancel the auto renewal
- The auto renewal will now be cancelled and no further payments will be taken
- To set this up again, click the action button (three dots)
- Click 'Start Auto Renewal' and then follow the on-screen prompts to provide your payment information
- The auto renewal will now be set up and this automatically take payment for the item when it is up for a renewal and you will be notified via email
Note: Email reminders are sent to the 'Payee' email address seven days prior to an automatic payment being taken.
